Public Use

Ballston Lake has a free public fishing pier and launch site for small car top boats at the north end of the lake. The parking area is located off of Outlet Road with the launch site across the road. Outlet runs between Lake Road and Route 50.

Fish found within this lake include: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brown bullhead, northern pike, bluegill, carp, redfin pickerel, black crappie, longear sunfish, pumpkinseed, rock bass, and Walleye. Ballston Lake has excellent fishing for largemouth bass. Fishermen have a greater chance of catching a largemouth if they fish along the weed beds, docks, stumps, or down trees.
